Traffic rules in Uganda have been revised with a couple of new rules. these rules have majorly seen the speed limits reduced both in town and up country. This has made it urgent for self drive in Uganda safaris and car rental with a driver safaris to keenly note on these changes for a safe travel.

How to avoid traffic fines in Uganda
Keep under the driving speeds.
In towns, the speed limit permissible is 30km/hr whereas on highways the permissible speed is under 80km/hr.
Have your driver’s license with you.
At all times, please have your driver’s license as you self drive in Uganda in the city and highways. You can either carry the hardcopy or soft copy to be presented to the officers.
Avoid driving while under the influence of alcohol, as this invites a fine of UGX 500.000
