Entebbe International Airport Opened: Car Hire Uganda, Rental and Self Drive Uganda COVID-19
Entebbe International Airport is the main air transport port in Uganda and its one of the main reasons why tourism in Uganda is a success. However, it was affected by the outbreak of the global pandemic COVID-19. It has been closed for passenger flights from March 2020. However, the president of Uganda on 20th September 2020 stated that the airport will be opened for passengers in October provided tourists follow the stated SOPs (Standard operation procedures).
In the same way, car rental in Uganda/ self drive Uganda sector was affected by COVID-19 and closure of the airport. Opening of the airport will now guarantee that it is possible to rent a car in Uganda either for self drive or with a driver with Your Drive Uganda Ltd.
In conclusion, opening of the Entebbe International Airport will help revive the tourism sector and car hire Uganda sector.
